Reflections on 1 year ago today!

A year ago today, I was celebrating because Julian Assange landed in Australia. I couldn’t believe it! This was the time during which I was unreachable, because I was catching up on Karen Read trial 1. When the world finally did reach me early in the morning on June 26th, I learned that there had been a plea agreement, and Julian had been released. I celebrated for five days at least, until the mistrial in the Read case came, but it was longer than that, I just remember seeing the mistrial.
I got up early that day too, like I did this year! I think it was 2:30 in the morning or so, and this year, I got up around 3. I woke up to get water, and go to the bathroom. I ended up looking at my Youtube subscriptions feed to put something on so I could fall back asleep. I saw “Julian Assange is finally free,” twice in the feed. I remember looking down and seeing legalvices streaming, who’s no longer with us. It probably only took a couple of minutes or less, before I really needed to go look at what was happening with Julian’s case!!
